Post High School Routines
When you are in high school, it isn't that hard to stay in shape. You have sports and PE classes to burn those tricky calories. But the problem is after high school; there isn't going to be anyone making you exercise. It's all on you to go out and work out; but if you have a strenuous college schedule, it might not be that easy. But exercise isn't the only aspect of keeping fit. You need to make sure that your diet isn't all junk food; and when your mom isn't cooking for you everyday, that might be a tough task. So just try to hold back on the Top Ramen.
The best idea to get exercise is to get yourself a gym membership. but not everybody has the money or the accessibility to a gym. If you choose to get a membership, it's a good idea to get a trainer or get some workout routines online (make sure to get workouts for your whole body).
Another easy and quick option is to get a good exercise DVD like Insanity or P90X. They usually take less then an hour to do a day and are very straight forward. Also, they can be done in small quarters in your house. Make sure before you buy a DVD you check online, read the reviews and make sure that the workout in question is all it's cracked up to be. Another good thing about a DVD's is that some of them give you nutritional advice.
The easiest option, but probably the hardest to maintain, is just to go out and get at least 60 minutes of exercise each day. For example, have pick up basketball games or go out for a hike. Just make sure you get at least an hour of exercising each day. You should probably make a schedule of what you will do, or you might start "forgetting" to workout .
Now for the food part, a big problem today is kids j eating fast food and processed foods instead off having a healthy home cooked meal. Especially when you have to cook for yourself, you might just want to get a microwaveable TV dinner; but that's not healthy.
Just remember that you have to have a healthy diet and exercise at least 5 days a week
