Ways to Stay in Condition
Conditioning is a way that you can keep your heart and lungs healthy and keep them in shape. Here below we have a list specifically chosen by the members at healthy teens that we feel can keep you heart healthy for a long time if you choose to keep up with them.(Warning! Always warm up before these routines. They are not for the faint of heart; these are vigorous exercises that easily tear and pull muscles so remember to stretch and warm up before you participate in these exercises). Remember, your body is like clay and only you can sculpt it, so remember to keep a regular routine for exercising.
- Endurance Running/Jogging (10+ minutes, no or minimal breaks)
- Bear Crawls for 50-100 yds. (Crawling on all fours with knees off the ground)
- 100 yd. Sprints (1 minute rest in between)
- Back Pedals (50-100 yds.)
- A Dirty 300 (Sprint 100 yds, Back Pedal 100 yds, Bear Crawl 100 yds)
- 3-5 Mile Jog (Preferably around town)
- Your Choice
